Our journey over the two years has been amazing! From making great friendships to showing all over the state, Ecko continues to grow and mature into a beautiful example of the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed. We are so excited to continue showing, breeding and raising quality dogs that can be competitive in the show ring as well as a family dog and best friend.

We are just beginning our journey into showing and breeding Rhodesian Ridgebacks, with help of my two mentors, Dan Clevenger (Cougar Hill RR) and Elizabeth Moore (Architype RR). I have watched Dan breed and raise his Ridgebacks for almost 10 years. As my kids are getting older, and starting to move forward in their lives, I decided it was the right time to add a new member of the family.
In 2021, I reached out to Dan to let him know that I was ready to bring home a puppy. Thinking that it would be at least a year before he would have one available...or so I thought! In August of 2021, I got a call from Dan that he had just bred his female and asked if I still interested in a puppy. Of course I said "YES!" During her pregnancy I began speaking with Dan about getting into showing dogs and breeding again, as I used to breed German Shepherds. Once the puppies were born in October, I was able to go over weekly and visit with all 9 puppies. There were two females, and I was able to take my time getting to know each of them through the weeks. But...it was pretty easy because one of the females bonded to me the first week. When the puppies were about six weeks old I finally got to meet Elizabeth Moore aka Biz, when she came down to visit. Biz owns the father of the litter and works very closely with Dan on each litter. Both Dan and Biz's dogs have shown successfully and have earned their Championship, Grand Championship or both!
In December of 2021, I brought home my baby girl Ecko! Her registered name is:
Cougar Hill Architype Ecko of Shady Oaks.
